i has hasbeens.

i might also have bloody feet, but esb swears that if i start slowly and break them in with socks first, they will be fine.  which is good because i'm wearing them no matter what.  they are my perfect spring/summer/fall/winter shoe ... the kind i can *hopefully* just throw on, the kind that will add a touch of non-slob to my slobby self.

swedish hasbeens - t-strap sky high in nature.
also the bokeh firework photo is from erika's flikr stream.

  4. I want hasbeens but just had to send some back because they were much too small. Now waiting for one of the two styles they make in a bigger size to come back into stock...

  5. you BETTER break em in with socks. blood could really stain that nude leather.

  6. i was JUST looking at swedish hasbeens this morning. i LOVE them. i bought a pair of no. 6 clogs last year. first time i wore them i thought i broke the bone on the top of my foot. not cool since they cost an arm and an leg and i had the same idea in terms of them being my go-to shoes. so i started wearing them with socks. worked like a dream.

  9. anon - they are absolutely DREAMY. the breaking in didn't take too long at all. i can now wear them sans socks all day long. the leather hasn't softened exactly, but it has given enough to not be a bother. also, they say you can rub 'em down with olive oil, but i didn't go that route ... i'm not too keen on them darkening any more, or any earlier, than they need to.

  10. I am reading this as I sit at my desk at work. Hobbling around, because the break in period has been brutal. I have the new hasbeens styles for spring 2013. Cute little debutante style. I love them, but man, are these painful to break in! I tried the friction balms, moleskin and many bandaids. Finally caved and used the olive oil on them last night, and it didn't alter the color too much at all. Just put on a pair of gym socks to help relieve the pain and stretch them out a bit while I just am at my desk--not a good look out in public! I really love the look of these...hope they break in soon!

  11. I got a pair of them couple of days ago and made the mistake to wear them at work yesterday!! So painful! I am committed though and wearing them today too! I also put some olive oil and they look better actually and they are a bit softer (or it's an illusion) I hope they will break in soon - I can't wait!!
